Well ladies, we've got the answer for you and it comes in the form of boxer braids! This style is a triple threat of femininity, urban attitude, and practicality.
Get the Look
If you're squeezing in a workout before/after work, chances are you don't want to spend a ton of time on a complicated hairstyle. After all, there's exercising to be done! You'll be happy to know that this boxer braid look can be achieved without breaking a sweat (save that for the treadmill). Here's how it's done:
Step 1: Using a comb, create a clean center part.
Step 2: Separate the front section of one side of your hair into three pieces.
Step 3: Dutch braid the sections, weaving the pieces under each other-rather than over each other as you would a French braid-and continue to add hair as you braid.
Step 4: Once you reach the nape of your neck, braid the hair normally all the way down and secure it in place with a small elastic. The trick is to maintain the tightness of the braid all the way down as this can help prevent flyaways and provide a more uniform finish.
Step 5: Repeat the same steps on the other side and voila-you're done!
